Three games played tonight. Andrew and Gabby’s game ended in an early stalemate situation and threefold repitition which meant another draw between these two.
Brian defeated Stuart in the only decisive result of the night. Judging from the raucous laughter from both sides, this game was settled by a momumental blunder on Stuart’s part.
John Curran achieved what was probably his best result since joining the club by holding Debbie to a draw. A rook and pawn endgame was reached but unfortunately for Debbie her final pawn was closer to John’s king than her own and 2 rooks were left on the board.
