Round 6 was completed on a quiet night, with just three players coming
besides those in the two tournament games.
The night was significant nevertheless as the two titles on offer during
this tournament were decided tonight.
Martin played strongly, but not as strongly as his opponent Andrew Mather who wrapped up the game shortly after
The other match was an intense duel that required Andrew Robinson to
defend accurately during the middle game, then move to equilibrium and slightly
better when a draw was agreed when three-fold repetition was about to be
enacted. The game can be

The draw means Andrew Mather cannot be caught
in the last round, and thus retains the title he shared with Cameron De Vere last year and won outright in 2014.
The draw also lifted Tony Morris out of reach of the other players
eligible to win the Maiden Trophy, meaning that Tony has won the tournament won
by his son Joshua last year.
