The top of the table clash was not the close clash that many expected, with Andrew Mather winning more
quickly than usual against a gritty opponent.

Andrew Robinson and Tony Morris both won to remain the only realistic challengers to Andrew Mather,
although they will rely on him to slip up against other players in the final two rounds to have a chance.

Other winners tonight were Martin and Brian, while John also won to notch his first win over the board in this tournament.

Tom Meggitt was making his tournament debut at The Gap and won at the first attempt against Peter Hiller in
the last game of the night to finish.
