Flood Cup

Round 5 result:

Just one game was played in the tournament, but seven other players came along so a fair amount of chess was played.

Erick McPherson came along for his farewell night, as he will be moving to Canberra soon, and the club wishes him well on his move.

Billy Harris came for his first night, and had an interesting time playing a few games with the old master, Brian Willcock.

In the tournament game, Joshua was in control throughout and had an exchange and pawn advantage at the end.

Joe saw the writing on the wall and resigned, with the position making Joshua’s rook and bishop significantly superior to Joe’s bishop pair.
