Flood Cup

Round 4 results:

Andrew Robinson ½ Erick McPherson ½

Joshua Morris 0 Tony Morris 1

Ray Adams 0 Gary Sands 1

Peter Hiller 1 Martin Laizans 0

Daniel Sheldon 0 Joe Curtain 1

Adam Morris 1 John Ryland 0

Cameron De Vere, Tony Howes, Brian Willcock, James Hiller ½ BYE

Six games were played tonight, with four players seeking the bye, most due to tonight’s A-League semi-final with the Brisbane Roar playing at home.

On the top board, Andrew had a pawn advantage for most of the game, during which Erick mostly had the better position. With the hour late, a draw was offered and accepted by Erick.

The battle between father and son was won by Tony over Joshua, with some interesting observations made on their scoresheets.

Gary Sands and Ray Adams played the last game to finish tonight, with Gary prevailing just before 11:00pm.

Joe and Adam had clear wins in the other two games.
