Flood Cup

Round 4 results:

Kieran Lyons 0 Tony Howes 1 – on forfeit

Andrew Mather won a game where he was able to exploit a couple of tactical errors early on by his opponent to steadily press through for a win.

The end came when he had two connected passed pawns on the sixth rank and was able to exchange his queen for a rook, but then press through with the pawns for a win.

Brian played a very strange game, with an unusual opening, and then he was unusually able to avoid any large blunders.

Martin was pushed until the endgame when he had a knight against bishop and was able to snatch a few crucial pawns through tactical play
