Lightning Tournament
Andrew Mather won all of his games tonight except against his closest rival Marcus to retain his title as the club Lightning champion.
Marcus may well have launched a closer challenge but lost to Ben in Round 5 tonight, which meant he needed Andrew to falter even after beating him in Round 6.
George claimed a draw off Marcus in the final round to finish in third position, relegating Andrew to a fourth placing – his lowest since 1997.
As Russell was unable to compete tonight, Peter Hiller fulfilled his fixtures and managed to win three of his nine games.
Jim scored an unlikely victory against Martin, however John’s win in Round 5 was enough to climb above Jim in the final standings.
