Tony Howes 0 Andrew Robinson 1 (from Round 10)
Martin and Ray ended with two rooks and opposite coloured bishops in a game that was always likely to head towards a draw.
Andrew Mather was a couple of pawns in front and was then able to force his advantage with two better positioned rooks.
Brian played well throughout his game tonight, and did not miss chances like last week, and fought through was a well-earned draw in a game that offered opportunities to both sides.
Tony conceded a few pawns to achieve a very strong position, but then when pushing for mate miscalculated a sacrifice and resigned soon after.
