Stuart Wilson Trophy
Results:
Marcus Porter 0 Greg Colwell 1 (Round 11)
Joseph Curtain 0 Russell Lyons 1 (Round 12)
Andrew Robinson 0 Tony Howes 1 (Round 13)
Three games were played tonight. Tony’s crushing victory over Andrew means that Tony has won the tournament for the third time, following previous victories in 2007 and 2008.
As James Hiller has only played four games, results of all games involving him have been removed from the table.
Four unplayed games involving John Roper have been awarded to his opponents as John has had to withdraw from the tournament due to health reasons. (Forfeits to Tony Howes, Joseph Curtain, Brian Willcock, Jim Petrie)
Three of Jack Badenhorst’s remaining five games have been awarded to his opponents as their outcome does not affect the Maiden Trophy outcome. (Forfeits to Tony Howes, Brian Willcock, John Ryland)
After tonight’s games, there is still a close battle to decide who will win the Maiden Trophy. Tony, Andrew and Russell have all previously won tournaments and are ineligible. Therefore the contenders are:

Quote of the night
“What is your rating?” – Russell’s polite enquiry, after Joe offered him a draw. Russell declined and went on to win the game.
