One Hour / Maiden Trophy

Round 10 result:

Mark Taylor 1 Kieran Lyons 0

Kieran and Mark played a fairly even game, until Kieran got into time trouble. With three minutes to go Mark offered a draw. Kieran played on and committed two blunders which saw Tony finally beat his hoodoo to win a tournament. Kieran obtained the consolation of knowing she had won the Maiden Trophy, while Mark was very satisfied with a deserved victory that placed his final score closer to his chess prowess.

Tony becomes the 10th different individual to win the Stuart Wilson Trophy (awarded to the winner of the One Hour tournament) since its inception 13 years ago in 1995.
