Without a doubt, the highlight of the night was the unexpected return of John Curran to the club after an absence of 13 months. John seems eager to get stuck in again and probably can’t wait to get his revenge against his arch-rival James. John has been playing on the Internet only during his stay in Melbourne, but his manner suggests he will now play more confidently.
On a quiet night that finished at 10.15pm (a record early close?), other attendees besides John were Stuart, Cameron, Russell and Kieran Lyons, Tony Howes (briefly), Andrew, Marty, Debbie, Mick and Tim. So the Lightning Tournament fizzles to a close, but some exciting action lies in the weeks ahead that is sure to draw higher attendances.
