Report – 3 September 2004

One Hour tournament

Round 7 results:

Marty Chadwick 0 Tony Howes 1

Luthien Russell 1 James Hiller 0

Marty played well against Tony until making a blunder which gave away a piece and the game.

On the other board an upset appeared on the hands with James the exchange up for a long time. By the endgame he was a pawn up with each player having Rook + Bishop but frittered away his advantage (and all of his pawns) due to lack of endgame experience.
