Round 7 result:
Ray Adams 1 Stuart Wilson 0
Just one game played tonight with Stuart paying for a lack of development of his kingside pieces.
Other than Ray and Stuart, only Andrew, Peter Hiller, Brian, Harvey (briefly) and first-timer George showed – further evidence that it is playing in tournaments that pulls people to the club. However this didn’t stop the dedicated from hanging around till after midnight.
From next week onwards the schedule will be more hectic with Flood Cup on May 14, an interclub on May 21, followed by the One Hour starting May 28 which will be played at least 3 weeks in 4 as it will be round-robin format.
