Flood Cup

Round 3 results:

Harvey Quaresmini 0 Andrew Robinson 1

Peter Hiller 0 Brian Willcock 1 (forfeit)

Round 4 result:

John Curran 0 Tony Howes 1

Tonight was fairly quiet with just two games played over the board.

Harvey unbeaten run came to an end despite the fact that he was a pawn up with a strategic advantage. At move 36 he made a fatal bishop move that allowed him to drop a piece for a pawn, letting Andrew turn around a situation in which he had only slim prospects of attaining a draw.

Tony achieved an early victory in his game against John while Peter failed to show up handing Brian a victory without having to push a pawn.
