Revising Chess Teams Competition
Delegates from metropolitan clubs to the Queensland Chess Association have decided to renew competition matches between teams.
The clubs represented were the Brisbane, Morphy, Yeronga, German, Russian, and Main Roads Commission.
Any registered team of five members may participate.
Eight teams are expected to compete for the Singer Cup. Play will commence on June 1.

Singer Chess Contest Opens
Six teams took part took part in the inaugural round of the Singer Cup chess competition.
A. E. Evans had a long struggle with C. Potanin. and the game was drawn. K. Olsen played solid chess to win at board 2 for the young Morphy team.

Surprise in Chess Team's Match
Surprise of the sixth round of the metropolitan chess teams' contest for the F. G. Singer Cup was the defeat of the Russian team by Nundah.
Morphy No. 1 had a narrow win.

By defeating the Russian team, the Morphy No. 1 team has won the metropolitan chess teams' competition, and with it. the F. G. Singer Cup. The team has never been defeated.

Chess Title To Morphy
The Morphy No. 1 team won the metropolitan chess premiership, and the P. E. Singer Cup by two points.
They completed the series undefeated. The only players to win the possible ten games were M. Kay and R. Anderson.
