Method of calculating the starting times for a game

The player with the lower ranking in the 2016 Lightning receives 5 minutes. The higher ranked player receives 5 minute minus the difference in the handicaps of the players, with the proviso that this player will always receive a minimum of one minute on the DGT at the start.

Players who did not enter the 2016 Lightning Tournament were given provisional ratings based on previous performances in the Lightning Tournament, or a best estimate by the DOP.
