A full allotment of five games was played tonight from multiple rounds to ensure everyone had a game.

 

Cameron won against Joshua to confirm his position at the top of the table.

The two players who may catch him are Tony Howes and Tony Morris, both of whom won tonight.

Rex Scarf attempted a premature kingside assault after losing control of the centre, and succumbed after 17 moves: Link to the game

Afterwards, Rex said the sacrifice of his second bishop was inspired by Brian’s cavalier play two weeks ago.

 

Brian blundered a knight against Martin who complained afterwards that it made the win too easy for him.

Brian’s response to Martin’s complaint was: “well, don’t take the knight then!”
