Cameron capitalised on an error by Andrew in the opening to hold the upper hand for most of the game until an inevitable blunder right at the end led to instant resignation.

Joshua’s win continued a poor start to the tournament by defending champion Tony Howes who is virtually out of contention after three rounds, this game being the first of the night to finish at 8:43pm.

 

Daniel won a game that lasted two hours against Rex to achieve his first win in the tournament.
