Most of the games were over well before 10:00pm, however two games continued until late.
Marcus Porter was two pieces up when Metin resigned, however the game had been close earlier on.
The last game to finish saw Tony Howes achieve a win just before midnight in a see-sawing game, easily the most interesting tussle of the night.
There were two draws tonight. Andrew and Tony agreed to an early draw in a congested situation.
Peter was the exchange and two pawns up and agreed to Cameron’s draw offer when about to be forced to the return the exchange.
John made a critical mistake in the opening, playing f5 and allowing a horrific queen check at h5 to dismember his defence.
Brian and Joshua both had early wins to notch their first points of the tournament.
