Allegro Tournament

A good attendance tonight, with matches played in the room two along due to unexpected lighting issues in our room and its neighbour.

Dusan Smrek made an appearance, back to the club after a number of years (a finalist in our 2000 Prize Night tournament).

Brian draw with Martin was notable for a pawn capture by Brian’s queen which jumped over an intervening piece, the illegality of this move apparently unnoticed by both players at the time (but realised after the game was finished).
