With Andrew Mather notifying he will not be entering, the 2013 Flood Cup commenced with nine players in a round-robin draw.

 

Three games were played over the board tonight, with Andrew collecting a point when Jim did not show.

 

The longest game was also the closest, with Tony winning by a small margin just before 11pm when Brian failed to stop a passed rook pawn.
