Report – 31 August 2012

Stuart Wilson Trophy

Result:

Greg Colwell 0 Brian Willcock 1 (Round 8)

A final postponed match was played to wrap up the One Hour tournament.

Greg had the ascendancy for the first 15 to 20 moves, but allowed a blocked bishop of Brian’s into the play.

With the pressure gone, Brian was able to push through for a win despite being a few pawns down at one stage.

The result means that Greg remains in fourth place and Andrew Mather claims outright third.

Brian also moves above Martin in a final table that saw seven of the nine players finish at 50% of higher.
