Five sets of games were played tonight. Brian managed a couple of draws to draw level with his nemesis James. In Brian’s first game with Ray he was the exchange down and several pawns also (two rooks versus rook and knight). Then Ray engaged on a reckless exchange seeking simplification, but the result was Brian suddenly on even terms with a good king position. Ray was fortunate to escape with a draw.
Gary achieved good results move clear of the bottom four and cement his position in the middle of the table. Greg also pulled off a good win against Ray to move clear of the bottom.
