Report – 18 May 2007

Flood Cup

Round 6 results:

Brian Willcock 1 Ray Adams 0 (played May 11)

Ernesto Dobson 0 Tony Howes 1 (one forfeit)

Ellis Markson 0 Cameron De Vere 1

Mark Taylor v Andrew Robinson – postponed to May 25

Garvin Gray 1 John Roper 0

Greg Colwell 1 John Curran 0 (played May 11)

Three fixtures were decided tonight, but only two games were played over the board. Most were surprised by the non-attendance of Ernie who was still in with a chance of winning the tournament off his own bat.

In other games Cameron won a close game after a blunder from, Ellis, while Garvin comfortably won against John Roper.

There was a good attendance tonight with Tony, Ray, John C, Andrew, Greg and Peter Hiller playing chess in the non-tournament room. Also, there were four junior players, including Thomas Robinson who followed up a draw last week with Ernie with a win against Greg tonight.
