Brian Thomas virtually closed out the tournament with a convincing pair of wins to maintain his 100% record. Except for the fixture between Ray and Tom all games were decided decisively 2-0 on the night. Gordon won again to continue his push for a top 3 finish.

The Gap welcomed a new member into its rank with the signing up of Laura Lynch who has moved from cyberspace chess into the real thing. She played games with Ray and Gordon and more than held her own.
