All tournament players were in attendance tonight except Tony and Kieran on a night that saw 18 games played.
The endurance prize went to Gordon who showed that it is possible to play eight competitive Allegro games in a night. And not only did he play eight games, but he was able to achieve seven wins to shoot up to second place in the standings.
Brian Thomas continued on relentlessly winning six from six to remain the favourite. Andrew’s challenge suffered when he played Ray at the moment he had his golden hour.
Most games were closely contested and went down to the endgame, with all players achieving some measure of success. This is demonstrated by the fact that all players have now achieved at least one win. Of special not was Tim’s performance. He had an especially good night winning three games from four and is now stationed in mid-table in the current standings. Greg’s win in his first ever tournament Allegro game (against the highly rated Ray) was also worthy of note.
