One Hour/Maiden Tournament

Round 2 results:

Garvin Gray 0 Tony Howes 1

Andrew Robinson v Ellis Markson – postponed to June 30

Marty Chadwick 1 Gordon Powell 0

Ray Adams 1 Tom Szekely 0

Mark Taylor v Peter Hiller – postponed to June 30

Cameron De Vere 1 James Hiller 0

Greg Colwell v John Curran – postponed to June 30

Shane Martin 1 Tim Johnson 0

Six games were played tonight with five wins going to white. Brian played accurately to shut out Debbie who said she felt like she was on the defensive throughout the game. Marty was even on pieces but at a positional disadvantage to Gordon in the endgame. But then Gordon swapped off in time trouble, lost his positional advantage, and then lost the game when he ran out of time. Ray overcame Tom with ease, the main concern being the volume with which Tom recorded his moves!

Cameron had an easy win over James who collapsed early on, while Tim was more competitive before succumbing to consistent play from Shane.

Three games from Round Two were postponed and will be played on June 30.
