Two games were played tonight. Gabby defeated Brian earlier in the night after a bishop sac at move 22 that went awry. In the other game, Doug seemed to have the initiative with a well placed rook and could certainly have forced a draw after move 29. Then a mistake by black at move 37 let Andrew back into a game that took over 3 hours to complete.

Strong junior player Ben Lazarus won twice tonight in this tournament. The first game against Nathaneal was over so quickly that it afforded him the chance of a second game.
